What Now?
7CI6Qoq - Cause change.
Early last year (during the Spring of 2006), I became overwhelmingly incensed by ongoing wars the United States government has been waging, replete with escalating torturous violence, against primarily peaceful peoples (e.g., Muslims, drug-users, immigrants, gays, && all other non-descript civilians too in the name of "Homeland Security"). I resolved to run for President to help end war, foster peace, && promote liberty to the best of my ability. Then, the more I studied the pedigree of each candidate I wished to compete against, all the known Presidential hopefuls, I quickly recognized that Ron Paul was as principled as I feel I am, while himself having a proven record of integrity as a Senator garnering increasing public support. I determined that he'd make a better President than I could so I resolved to withdraw my candidacy in support of him.
Then, a few months ago (during the Autumn of 2007), I reconnected with the California Libertarian Party && have received endorsement to run a Congressional campaign for my district here in Venice, California (on the west-side of Los Angeles). I believe we face a pregnant period in our nation's history today. We must vigilantly defend freedom, justice, && truth... or they will all continue to be choked until lifeless, for the profit of a cabal of tyrants. We must reclaim responsibility for ourselves && each other by seeking honorable leadership that upholds the genuine spirit of our Constitution. I implore everyone to educate yourselves, meditate on history && modern resemblances, make careful judgments of character, then take action, participate in democracy, become guardians && overseers of our own elections processes, publicize corruption, && inspire similar bravery in others. Think clearly && act consciously. Help resurrect peaceful diplomacy within a small, respectable, Constitutional government. The quality of our future depends on it!
Please watch this amazing talk by Naomi Wolf && exercise free-speech, discuss ideas, && dissent loudly.
Sincerely,
-Pip
